The Reflections Program is a national and state PTA cultural arts competition providing students (Pre-K to 12th grade) an opportunity to express themselves through their own original works. Reflections engages nearly 300,000 students and their families in arts education each year.

Only original works are accepted. Students may submit an entry in one or more of six categories: Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts, Film/Video, Choreography/Dance. Submit your work with entry form to the school's front office by October 31.

Entry Forms and Official Rules
The forms this year are PDF-fillable; we highly recommend typing into the form. The forms below have been pre-filled with PTSA info for you.

The National PTA Special Artist Division

For students with a disability as defined under ADA.

It's important to use supplies that are accepted by the competition. Review your packets for specific details. Here are a few recommendations:

  • Ben Franklin Crafts (Redmond) has a Reflections Station for mounting materials and art sleeves.
  • Art and office supply stores (Staples, Fred Meyer) provide a variety of supplies to help mount and protect your work with plastic sleeves, manila envelopes and celo-wrap.

Student works will be critiqued by local art professionals against others in the same grade division:
  • Primary: Preschool - Grade 2
  • Intermediate: Grades 3 - 5
Participants will receive a certificate and ribbon. Winners may advance to the PTA council, state and national competitions. Top winners at the national level receive award packages, some of which include cash prizes!

  • Entries Due: October 31 (drop off Original Works WITH Entry Forms in the school front office)
